Flagship UPIM store reopens on Corso Buenos Aires, Milan at 35-37 following a major renovation

Milan, 15.10.20 – UPIM, the popular Italian brand and landmark for convenient and affordable shopping that meets families’ needs, officially reopened its doors at #35-37 Corso Buenos Aires in its 1,700 sqm, newly renovated store. Recognising Corso Buenos Aires as one of Europe’s most strategic and vibrant commercial shopping streets, UPIM renewed its lease with Meyer Bergman and reopened with its wide range of fashion for women and men, BluKids (baby), Croff (home decor) and perfumery collections. The opening was attended by Rustioni and Partners , the real estate advisor company that assisted Meyer Bergman during this operation and some top managers from UPIM.

At the time of lease renewal, Peter Evans, vice president at Meyer Bergman, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to keep UPIM in our Corso Buenos Aires development in Europe’s fashion capital, Milan. UPIM is an iconic Italian household name, and its historic presence on Italy’s most famous shopping street dictates the area’s prime pitch and is revered around Europe.”

“We wanted to keep the promise made to our customers,” Massimo Iacobelli, general manager of the store said last Thursday, “and despite this difficult period, we have worked hard to deliver an even more welcoming shop than ever before”.

Wood, iron, glass and other eco sustainable materials have been used to create the fully revamped store, which employs 23 sales specialists and aims to keep the “human factor” and the “contemporary shopping experience” at its heart.

In accordance to the latest Covid-19 guidelines from the Italian government, several measures have been adopted to ensure the safety of employees and clients; for example, air exchange cycles and cleaning shifts have been increased and flat surfaces and checkouts are sanitised regularly throughout the day. Furthermore, there are disinfectant gel dispensers at the entrance and at the tills and returned garments will be quarantined for three days before being examined, sanitised and put back on sale.

Iacobelli also added that “the store on Corso Buenos Aires aims to be a place where customers can feel at ease, just as if they were at home, while finding a range of products and services that meets their daily needs”. UPIM delivers on this promise for loyal customers with its Corso Buenos Aires location, which has been present on Italy’s most famous shopping street for nearly two decades.
